Frontline Foundation/NBBTP Privacy Policy
Use of Information: The only information we keep about you is the information given to us during the registration process and information from your modem during an on-line session. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others except if: (1) we are required to do so by law; (2) we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the edicts of the law; (3) we are cooperating with law enforcement agencies; or (4) we are complying with legal process served upon us.
In order to sign up for our service, a user must first complete a registration form. During registration a user is required to give their contact information (such as name and email address) and provide billing information (such as credit card number and expiration date). This information is solely used to create users an access account. Your e-mail address is used strictly for account management purposes to: (1) send critical information (such as notification of changes to the privacy statement); (2) send a confirmatory e-mail when you activate; or (3) deactivate your account and billing information.
Cookies: We only use cookies when a site visitor logs in to his/her NBBTP online application or Professional Development Course account (under development as of June 2006). Using cookies in these instances enables us to keep you logged in—and others out—as you move from page to page in your NBBTP application or Professional Development Course account.
Log Files: We do not currently use Log Files
Links: This website may contain links to other sites (i.e., search engines, news, etc). Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this Website.
Communications with you: You should not receive any third party promotional marketing materials as a result of joining the NBBTP mailing list. The only e-mail communication you may receive is when: (1) there is a notification of a change to this privacy statement; (2) to send a confirmatory e-mail when you activate/deactivate your account; (3) we respond to your inquiries; (4) we bill you; (5) we want to notify you concerning a change in telephone numbers; or (6) other news we may have for you about us and our services.
Security : This Web site takes every precaution to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the Web site, the information is protected both online and off-line. When online course registration and payment is activated, personal data and credit card information will be encrypted and thus protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of your information is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (course registrar) are granted access to personally identifiable information.
Our employees must use password-protected screen-savers when they leave their desk. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to user information. Furthermore, all employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Our employees are periodically notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure your information is protected. Finally, the servers that store personally identifiable information are in a secure environment.

How You Can Correct Inaccuracies in the Information
If your personally identifiable information changes (such as zip code, phone, email or postal address), we provide you the means to update these information on line via our on line support page. If you no longer desire our Services, we provide a way to delete/deactivate your information. This can usually be done by emailing our Customer Support at info@nbbtp.org. or by U.S. postal mail at the contact information listed below.
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate (so you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.)
If, however, we are going to use your information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify you via email. You will have a choice as to whether or not we use your information in this different manner. In addition, if we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect your information already stored in our database, we will post a prominent notice on our Web site notifying you of the change. In some cases where we post a notice we will also email you of the changes in our privacy practices.
