Program Policy
Within two years of enrolling in the NBBTP Operations & Maintenance Certificate program participants are required to:
- Complete seven core courses and three elective courses.
- Complete a practicum that demonstrates the participant can apply the knowledge gained from NBBTP coursework to his or her own professional assignments.
- Submit a Final Project to demonstrate the ability to analyze and use material learned in the program.
Upon successful completion of entire Program (10 classes), the final project, and practicum hours, a participant receives a Certificate in Biocontainment Laboratory Operations and Maintenance from the National Biosafety and Biocontainment Training Program.
