Program Policy
Within two years of enrolling in the NBBTP Biosafety & Biosecurity Certificate program participants are required to:
- Complete seven core courses and three elective courses.
- Complete a practicum that demonstrates the participant can apply the knowledge gained from NBBTP coursework to his or her own professional assignments.
- Submit a Final Project to demonstrate the ability to demonstrate the ability to operate and maintain modern biocontainment laboratories, or to analyze and use material learned in the program.
Upon successful completion of entire Program (10 classes), the final project, and practicum hours, a participant receives a Certificate in Biosafety & Biocontainment from the National Biosafety and Biocontainment Training Program.
